Overview:
An immersive jump into the real inland backcountry area behind Finale Ligure. We’ll have the chance to breathe-in pure pristine air, be deep in nature for hours and feel that great stoke that only a big ride in the forest can give.
All of this on a great variety of flow and hardly ever ridden, well maintained trails.
Details:
After a shuttle ride to Din, we’ll soon get away from the crowd and start climbing through the Barbottina forest (the biggest beech wood forest in Europe). First descent into Bardineto, riding the amazing flow lines of Pian Fieno trail. Once there, the difference in temperature, landscape and people’s (grumpy) faces will be noticeable: we are in the mountains! A steady climb with nice views over the surrounding valleys will bring us to the top of a peak, where we then ride Dondella, a flow trail that leads down into Calizzano. A tasty typical meal will be waiting for us at a local restaurant.
Once done with food, we’ll direct our climb back to Melogno Pass on the shuttle and be rewarded with a descent closer to Finale: it’s Isallo Extasy time! One of the first tracks built in Finale and recently re-shaped with more features and of course tons of flow.
We’ll end near Bardino, where the guide will have the choice depending on the group’s vibes:
climb to Monte Grosso and experience the EWS Cuore di Cervo trail, a fascinating natural ride down Monte Grosso, riding among secular olive trees and stone dry walls, overlooking the sea. From there, pedal back to Finale along the road
traverse to Gorra, climb on top of Caprazoppa hill and ride down the Enduro World Series trails of Caprazoppa or X-men: tight corners and slippy rocks are the main feature of these tracks, that will bring us down right into Finalborgo, in time for a beer or gelato
One way or the other, the shuttle will support our journey for the day.
